Anambra: Two Kidnappers Arrested On Their Way To South-Africa

Usman Gwari, Anambra Police Commissioner, said on Saturday in Aguleri, that the police have arrested two suspected kidnappers.

Gwari, who addressed journalists in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, said they were arrested through the collaborative effort of the State Joint Security Operations.


According to him, one of the suspects, Okwuchukwu Nnagbo from Agu-Ukwu Nri, Anambra was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.




Police men from SARS had arrested a pastor who prayed for him unknown of his line of duty to travel in peace and the secreatry of the pastor who he gave a phone. The phone was what they used for the robbery and the police used it to burst the kidnap even though they had paid ransom. They were arrested at Nise, in Awka South local government area.
He explained that the suspect was arrested with the assistance of the protocol department and staff of the airline while trying to board a flight to South Africa.

Gwari said the suspects were already helping the police with useful information, and would be prosecuted after investigation.

He assured that the police in Anambra were determined to rid the state of criminals and bad elements, and urged members of the public to continue to assist the police.
