Two, Student, Cyclist Killed In Onitsha

                                                

There was tension and confusion this evening in Nkpor/Umuoji road, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State when a tanker with Reg No. JJT401XG allegedly crushed two persons to death, a motorcyclist and a student.

Their corpses were said to have been deposited in a yet to be identified morgue.

The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Ogidi Police Station, Mr. Isa Abubakar, said that investigation is on going.

The Tanker was coming from Nkpor junction axis, when it lost control on descending the hill allegedly sequel to break failure and on the process somersaulted twice, killing the duo who were traveling on a lady’s motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, believed to be a relation to the girl, was on a school run when both lost their lives.

  

Eyewitnesses said the cyclist would have avoided death as he noticed the brake failure and stopped instantly even parked but unfortunately the tanker got them while somersaulting, ramming into them before crushing them to death.
