Married Couple Admit To Burying Wife’s Parents’ Bodies In Garden

A couple yesterday admitted to burying the wife's parents in the back garden of their Mansfield home in 1998.

At Nottingham Crown Court, Christopher Edwards, 57, and his wife Susan, 55, pleaded guilty to charges of obstructing the coroner in the execution of his duties and theft from Mrs Edwards' parents' bank account between 1998 and 2013.
The pair buried Mrs Edwards' parents, William and Patricia Wycherley, in the garden of their property in Mansfield.
Post-mortems revealed that the elderly couple were killed by gunshot, but the pair deny having committed murder.
The Edwards have been remanded in custody, with the trial expected to begin on 4 June and last up to four weeks.
