Insurgents Unleash Mayhem On Orient Petroleum Property At Aguleri-Otu



                                      
Insurgents believed to have come from Kogi state yesterday allegedly attacked the Orient Resource Oil Facilities in Aguleri Otu.

Traditional Ruler of Nkpunando Otu Community Aguleri-Otu Anambra East Local Government Area in Anambra State, Igwe Alex Edozieuno disclosed this in a chat with newsmen.
Edozieuno expressed shock over the attack by alleged insurgents from Kogi State who attacked even as he expressed dismay that a matter already intervened by Governors of the two states and the Presidency is raising is ugly head.
He informed that he personally visited the scene of the attack and was dumbfounded by the gross brutality on Orient Workers and  quantum of damage to property by the invaders.

Igwe Edozieuno said: ‘’What baffled me most was this hoodlums were able to wreck such magnitude of damage to life and properly undisturbed, considering the presence of armed Security Agents (mobile policemen, Nigeria Navy, Army and Anambra Vigilante). It was a great disappointment and a great shame to humanity and gross insecurity in the 21st century Nigeria.
He advised Anambra State government and Orient Resources Plc to put more security in place to nip future occurrences in the bud and appealed to the people of Aguleri to remain calm for the attack was a direct blow to Orient Resource Plc and Anambra State government, though it covertly affected them.
