A major petroleum independent marketer in Nigeria, Dr Uche Ogah, has urged
businessmen and women to stop the exploitation of the masses while transacting
their businesses.
``They should abide by government regulations at all times so as to assist in the alleviation of poverty in the country,’’ Ogah, who is the Managing Director of Masters Energy, Oil and Gas Ltd, said in a business summit.
The summit, which was titled: ``Unveiling the Secrets of Kingdom Prosperity,’’ was organised by Access Bible Church, Fegge, Onitsha in Anambra on Mondday.
He maintained that his company had stocked to the sale of fuel at Federal Government approved pump price of at N97.00 per litre, thus setting an example for others to follow.
``I am totally disappointed over the manner Christians pursue wealth in this country.
``I have swore to God that my filling stations across the country would continue to abide by Federal Government fuel pump price of N97, which I know no other independent petroleum marketing company still sell fuel at N97. And this is to the glory of God and to enshrine honesty.
``My company would continue to serve humanity with honesty and not to impoverish people through exploitation,’’ he noted.
He noted that wealth acquired through satanic manipulations and wickedness without honesty and fear of God do not last for generations and most times die with the originator of such wealth.
``Why some wealthy men die with their businesses and wealth is as a result of such satanic wealth to men which lacked godly foundation,’’ he said.
Speaking, President of Uturu Believers’ Fellowship, Mr Damian Ogudike, noted that what Abia State needed for socio-economic transformation was an honest and God fearing man.
``I believe that the Abia governorship aspiration of Dr. Uche Ogah is in the right direction to bring succour to the people of the state.
``As can be seen, he is a man with a large heart, who has the interest of the masses at heart and I strongly advise that Abia electorates should be decisive in choosing their future leaders,’’ he noted.
Speaking, General Overseer of Access Bible Church, Pastor Cyprian Okafor, said that the summit was to enlighten potential businessmen and women on the basic necessary steps to a successful career.
The country is still struggling to over-come a one month old fuel scarcity, which was occasioned by some unscrupulous fuel marketers’ belt on ripping-off the masses.
