The
Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB has assured
all stakeholders that the emerging “New Biafra government” would never fail to
live on its obligations by providing good governance to them without being
selective.
MASSOB mentioned some of those obligations to be provided as construction of new inter and intra-communal roads to link various communities, as well as provision of other essential infrastructures.
MASSOB's
Deputy National Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha who gave the
assurance yesterday during their emergency meeting at Omor in Ayamelum Local
Government Area of Anambra State, said Biafra government would remember all the
communities neglected by Anambra state government of Nigeria, including Omor,
Anaku, Igbakwu, Umueje, Omasi, Ifite Ogwari, Umumbo and Umolum.
According to Mocha, “Biafra will deliver dividends of democracy irrespective of whether such people or communities supported the struggle for the independence of Biafra or not".

Mocha
frowned at the out-going Governor Peter Obi who he said though did well so far,
but excluded some of the above-mentioned communities in the area of
provision of essential services and structural developments, adding,
"There is no good road leading to Umolum, no hospital, no electricity, no
water, nothing".
Mocha
lamented that the out-going Governor Peter Obi-led APGA administration ought to
have extended the on-going construction of Amansea, Ugbene, Ugbenu,
Awba-Ofemili roads in Awka North LGA to link Ayamelum LGA Headquarters, Anaku
through Umolum community, from where Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University,
Igbariam would have been linked to Achalla, Awka North Local Government
Headquarters because of the importance of this link road.
Mocha
noted that the APGA governor was selective in this direction, promising that
Biafra government will not segregate any part of Ayamelum.
On
the suggestion made by a Retired Army Captain, Chief Obeche Obidike at a forum
in Anaku yesterday that MASSOB will achieve Biafra only when its leadership
start to throw bombs at police and Army Barracks, like the Boko Harams in the
north and the militants in the Niger-Delta, Mocha described Captain Obeche as a
coward, saying Uwazuruike has chosen the best path of non-violence as the
recognized means to achieving self determination for Ndigbo.
He therefore urged Capt Obeche who is also a retired chartered accountant based at Anaku to support the Uwazuruike struggle for the independence of Biafra and always speak out against injustice than to live and die as a slave in Nigeria.
