The Movement For the
Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra MASSOB, has demanded for
the corpses of three of its members allegedly killed by soldiers during the
raid of its security office along Onitsha Owerri road, Onitsha, Anambra State
recently.
MASSOB Leader, Chief
Ralph Uwazuruike, who addressed the press in that regards said the release
became imperative sequel to the worry by family members and the movement that
the corpses be released for a befitting burial to avoid the spirits of the dead
hovering around for not being buried.
The movement also
demanded for the release of those arrested before, during and after the raid
that included, Friday Igiri, Kenneth Nwabueze and Ezeigwe . MASSOB Leader spoke
through his Personal Assistant, Emmanuel Omenka.
His words, “we demand
for the immediate release of the corpses for burial, we are surprise that the
soldiers always involve themselves in MASSOB affairs. For four
consecutive days they raided our security office at Mgbuka junction and made
arrest of three of our members. They should tell us our offence that cause it”.
According to him, “they
should stop disturbing our boys. Boko Haram has continued to kill innocent
people in the North and Soldiers could not withstand the attack but rather
pretend to pose strong forces against evil in the south when they are not”.
