Cheryl Cole Shocked And Angry Over Weight Loss Advert

Cheryl Cole (Wenn)

When it comes to a subject she's passionate about, she doesn't hold back. And Cheryl Cole has vented her shock and anger at being associated with a shocking weight loss scale which aims to help dieters reach the size of their favoured celebrity.

The scales, which were to be sold by Superdrug, compares the weight of the user with that of a number of celebrities, including Cheryl Cole, Kate Middleton and Gemma Collins.
The scales have been blasted by eating disorder charities - and now Cheryl herself.
She took to Twitter to share an article about the scales, alongside the caption: "Shocked!!"
Cheryl then went on to tweet: "...Pls do not include me on your scale. Girls should be worried about the number on their exam page not a weight scale ffs" [sic]
The scales have sparked concern amongst health professionals, with Susan Ringwood, Chief Executive of eating disorder charity Beat speaking out.

She told The Independent: "These scales are beyond belief. They prey on the very worst of celebrity culture to fuel a harmful obsession."
Following numerous complaints, Superdrug have now decided to pull the product from their stores.
We're hardly surprised that Cheryl, 30, has hit out as she has in the past been very vocal about advocating a healthy diet and lifestyle.
She recently admitted that she never deprives herself of anything, even eating her sweet treats in moderation.
She said: "I don't follow any strict diets, I just eat sensibly. I'm not eating McDonald's and pizza every day, but I do allow myself one cheat day a week, normally on a Sunday. I have a really sweet tooth and love cupcakes and doughnuts. Basically anything that's really bad for you."
The singer went on to reveal that she avoids fad diets 'like the plague,' and works out regularly.
She said: "I'm still doing the Tracy Anderson Method. I see a trainer and they change the programme after every 10 sessions. I also use the DVD at home."
